George and Deborah's Great Adventures

George and Deborah's Great Adventures. Sunday, 29 March 2015. Final Leg - Oregon Coast and Home. We have arrived home after sixty-five days on the road. It is great to travel but it is also great to be home. I'll miss the sixty-two sunny days and will soon tire of the drenching rain that is happening outside of our home as I write this final trip entry. Or drive west was through tiny villages, vineyards and dairy farms. The colour of new green was everywhere. Our final day was characterised as one where ...

http://www.travellinggeorge.blogspot.com/2015_03_22_archive.html

George and Deborah's Great Adventures. Sunday, 22 March 2015. My computer has died. Blogging has become a challenge. Working on Deborah's IPad without a keyboard means less words and more pictures. After our Castle visit we meandered our way up Highway 1 to Carmel and a visit to the golf Mecca Pebble Beach. I had forgotten my 2 for 1 coupon so we didn't play at $500 US a round. We did wander the 18 fairway and green and took some pics from the clubhouse. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

George and Deborah's Great Adventures. Sunday, 1 March 2015. The Puerto Party Peters Out! The Five Week Travel Partnership Comes to an End. Our month in Puerto Escondido has slipped by fast. We have had a great time sharing the Puerto experience with Randy, Doreen, Russ, Viv, Rita, Mike and all the others we have met along the way. We have laughed, relaxed, ventured, and have been thoroughly entertained. My First Puerto Sunrise - 6:58 AM! All Hands in for Dinner Party. Linda and Jim's Contribution. The w...

George and Deborah's Great Adventures. Tuesday, 27 January 2015. Cycling in Mexico City. The last time we were in Mexico City we heard about a recommended bicycle tour of the inner city. This time we decided to take it. The reservation was made from home for a 10 am departure (only time available) for a four-hour tour. We booked with the Reforma-Chapultepec, Aztec Bike Tour Company and our English-speaking guide, Renne. Renne turned out to be a student studying Ballet at the university. One example was w...

George and Deborah's Great Adventures. Tuesday, 23 September 2014. We flew Vueling from Barcelona to Madrid and caught a taxi to the historic city centre. We stayed at the Hostal Luz Madrid for three nights and were within walking distance of the major historical attractions. The fixed price (30 E) taxi took us from the airport taxi queue directly to our door at #10 Fuentes Street. The cabbie dropped us staring at a large double wooden door devoid of any markings. We tried ringing the buzzer to no avail.

George and Deborah's Great Adventures. Wednesday, 25 March 2015. Napa And Sonoma Wine Valleys. After a leisurely drive over the Golden Gate, through Sausalito, lunch in Tiburon, we arrived in Napa for a two day stay. We managed to stretch a two hour drive into six. Jim and Deb joined us in the late morning and the six of us set out to lunch in the picturesque village of Yountville, at the Pacific Blues Cafe. After all the information was gathered (probably too much), we headed to lunch in the quaint town...

Roger Family Sailing Adventures. Keeping family and friends up to date on our travels in Florida, The Bahamas and south. Sunday, April 19, 2015. Home for the summer. We are sitting in Dallas-Fort Worth airport, waiting for our flight. Had a glitch in Miami so we didn’t get to our hotel until 4:15 this morning. Up at 6:30 for the shuttle back to DFW. Didn’t get our moneys worth for that bed. Shutting the boat down is hot, dirty, hard work. Better now that we are at North Sound but still…. Time to come out.

Roger Family Sailing Adventures. Keeping family and friends up to date on our travels in Florida, The Bahamas and south. Monday, March 23, 2015. Bermuda, Bahamas, Barbados - NO. BARBUDA! Blue Pearl lying off Barbuda. Helping Cool Change with their dinghy. Barbuda is the most Bahamian looking island we’ve seen down here. It is flat, flat, flat. The highest point is about 200 feet above sea level with salt ponds and mangrove lagoons. Anyway, we all survived, dried off and had a great tour. George told ...

Roger Family Sailing Adventures. Keeping family and friends up to date on our travels in Florida, The Bahamas and south. Monday, April 13, 2015. Back in Jumby Bay. So, instead of hanging around here enlarging our livers, we decided to cut our time short and head home to our cute little children and grandchildren. We are anchored about a mile from the haul-out. Roger Family Sailing Adventures. Keeping family and friends up to date on our travels in Florida, The Bahamas and south. Thursday, November 27, 2014. I get it now why Pam thought it was a good idea for Steve and Stu to help me splash the boat. It is hot, dirty, ugly work and all you want to do is have another beer and go for a swim. and pay someone else to do the work! Good play, Pammy! Anyway. WE'RE IN! Travelling German | Holiday Journey at German

Holiday Journey at German. In one hand was German nutcracker, a soldier with a well-worn red coat. In the other hand was the walnut I was trying to stuff between his teeth. Grandma Weber retrieved it from my chubby fingers. “This is from the old world. It’s not for cracking nuts.” It was not before I began frequently traveling to Germany did I learn the purposes of a German nutcracker. Top Ideas For a Holiday in Germany. Germany has it all.
