On the way up the coast we had a bit of a look in Bunbury, then it was on up to Rockingham. We soon found Point Peron which is on the road to the HMAS Stirling Navy Base. Brown door is the outside toilet. A big storm came thru during the night but fortunately the louvre windows didn't let too much rain in.

We left Victor Harbor on Friday morning with the intention of getting half way to Melbourne. Not far east of Keith we had to stop at the side of the road and draw a line in the dirt to mark the 10,000th kilometer that we've travelled since leaving home 29 days earlier. Camped overnight at Kimba (west of Port Augusta), on Monday night. We were packed up on Tuesday and on the road by 7am. Had a lunch stop at Ceduna - fresh Snapper and King George Whiting. Took a detour down to Fowlers Bay then back up to the Eyre Hwy where we spent the night at Nundroo. Trip to the Gold Fields.

The day we were to come home we spent some time in Richmond looking at factory outlets, then we found our way over to Highpoint in Footscray for some more retail therapy. Back in Port Melbourne we caught up with Jack and Su for a coffee and a natter before we boarded the boat. We were back home by 10.30am!

My Day - My Year - My Life. Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Mid 2010 : We took the car and drove to Western Australia. We have a very detailed blog about the trip here - WA road trip. The rest of the year was spent working and surviving the Tasmanian winter when we got home. The highlight of the later part of the year was the building and extending of our caravan at St.Helens. What we have now is about double the living space than we originally had. Christmas photos on facebook. Then it was back to the GTown.
