Thursday, September 25, 2008. Well, anyways, the little car got me thinking. Isn't it funny how, we always try to provide for our kids all that we never had as kids. My parents always felt that my brother and I should have all the things they didn't have while they were growing up. We always got to buy the latest fashion in clothes(as long as it was decent, of course! Then I had my kids, and what did I do? All the sports equipment they ever need or even mention the slightest interest in. I just wanted to...

Happytraveller: May 2006

http://travelsaga.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html

Tuesday, May 30, 2006. I know I said I would post tips for traveling with kids in my next post, but I’m going to have to do that later. I’m just so excited over our Memorial day weekend that I really had to post about it first. At one point we got separated from the rest of our group. We were wondering what happened when we felt strong winds blowing and the canoe was being pushed around and in the wrong direction.upstream! They had their feet up in the canoe and were busy taking pictures. The vacation wa...

Wednesday, September 13, 2006. Hi to everyone after a looooong time:-). Thanks to all of you, Jim. And then we’re tired the rest of the week:( I’m probably not making a lot of sense right now. My thoughts are all jumbled up just like our schedules. We’re planning on renting a couple of movies and just chilling:) Sounds good just thinking about it. Talking about movies, last Sunday we went and saw Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Actually this post is just a comeback hi. First, I’d like to refer to Couch Potato's.

Thursday, November 01, 2007. Vist to Agra. The Taj! We arrived in Delhi on a Monday afternoon and spent the day lazing around. The next day, Tuesday, we woke up bright and early to drive to Agra. Our driver was a nice young fellow, except he kept losing his way around a little bit! There are no words to describe the unique beauty of the Taj! We again took the jatka back to the car park. The heat was intense now and we were hungry. We headed to a restaurant for some Daal-roti and sabji. We have been travel...

Wednesday, July 19, 2006. THIS BLOG HAS MOVED. This blog has shifted to:. Http:/ bellurramki18.wordpress.com/. Posted by RK at 7/19/2006 02:03:00 PM. Monday, July 17, 2006. A for Arangetram, B for Bharatanatyam. The 'she' I am referring to here is my dear niece who will, in a few days, ascend the stage. Her 'Arangetram' is to be held in August in Houston. The main purpose of dance is to evoke Rasa, which means sentiment or flavour among the audience. Abhinaya Darpanam says:. A good dancer needs to evoke ...

Back with some more flowers - clicked in the apartment complex I live in - that had been lying on my disk, waiting for more than 2 months to be posted. Come rain, and lilies start blooming all around! A solitary mustard sprig. A couple of yellow lilies in midst of white. Yellow ones are relatively rare, and pink are rarer). Nature - around us. Travel Memoirs: Coorg

http://shalinistravelogue.blogspot.com/2013/05/coorg.html

Thursday, May 09, 2013. We visited Coorg in Sept 2012, when my parents had come over for a visit. I didn't get around to make this post since then; and now, with all the time lag, its going to be just a picture post . Cauvery - almost at a standstill. Supposed to be a riverside resort. Though this was all we could see of the Cauvery - and not with ease either. Toy train in a play area near Raja's seat. Couldn't get any clear pictures from Rajah's seat viewpoint due to the haze. The pathway at Abbey Falls.

Travel Memoirs: Coorg - Dubare

http://shalinistravelogue.blogspot.com/2013/05/coorg-dubare.html

Thursday, May 09, 2013. On the way back from Coorg, we planned to visit the Dubare elephant camp, where my son could enjoy bathing and feeding the elephants. Like most kids, seeing animals make him happy, even if he is a little scared. And he is just crazy about water - he can spend any amount of time playing in it! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tuesday, October 16, 2012. In an around Bangalore - Nandi Hills. It is essentially a small hill, about 60 kms from where I reside. You can drive up to the top of the hill, where there is a garden, and an ancient temple. It might have been a beautiful place, but for the ill-maintained garden, and lot of construction (presumably for some resort-cottages) that will block the nice view you can have from the top of the hill. Friday, November 02, 2012. And rather packed with the visiting humans, and resident simians. The stairs are well built, though a bit difficult to get down, due to the incline. Climbing up was a lot more tougher! We also passed by an ancient temple, and made a stop there on our way back. Though it didn't look quite so ancient from outside, once inside we could see that the idols and the original shrines were really old. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
