January 29, 2017. January 29, 2017. By Travels With Alison. Sihanoukville is a coastal city situated among hills in southwestern Cambodia. It boasts miles of continuous beach and large volcanic rock to climb on. The turquoise water is warm enough to swim in the entire day. Looking out into the vast Gulf of Thailand, tropical islands dot the horizon. The city is named after King Norodom Sihanouk. Read or listen to this NPR article. To learn more about him. The landscape began to change from luxury hotels ...
Travels With Alison
https://travelswithalison.wordpress.com/about
Welcome to my travel blog! I’m Alison, a Boston native, who loves travel, photography, and culture. Below are my first memories of traveling. My cousin and I were born a day apart. We joke about how I am the oldest, and so I claim, the wisest. However, at six feet tall, he towers over me and has bragging rights of his own. My mother and aunt were eager to show each other their newborns, however this was a challenge as they were approximately 3,633 miles away from each other. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Where fashion, fitness and (vegetarian) food collide. And champagne, obvs. About B & B. November 10, 2014. November 11, 2014. One of my coworkers, whose house I would head for if a zombie apocalypse were to happen (he and his wife grow their own food, make amazing, crunchy treats and are overall stellar people) gave me homemade raspberry fruit leather (! Um, this homemade raspberry fruit leather was AMAZING. Now for the fun part: what to wear for my run? Doesn’t it need to come out? Recipe to create LITE...

Travels with Aimer
Monday, June 22, 2015. So there's this guy I know; used to know him quite well - we spent a lot of time hanging out back in the day. He's probably reading this blog right now going - 'yeah, she's talking about me on her blog! Bit of an egotistical fellow. Anyway, back in the day, he would greet me with a hearty, 'How is your soul? And actually mean it. Like, really, how is your soul. How's the spiritual stuff? How are you and God? And then, kids. Kids makes going to church just a chore. Like, an ...Churc...
Travels with a kazoo | Laura and Simon's travelling blog
Travels with a kazoo. Laura and Simon's travelling blog. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. So long and thanks for all the kazoos! August 23, 2012. The two of us at the sand dunes in Huacachina, Peru. Wow, that was quick! Exactly a year ago today, we set out to explore the world, and now it’s all over, we’ve been back a month, and we’re both off to find adventures new. It’s also strange not going everywhere as the travelling duo – and leaving our Kazoos behind for once. 4 pairs of sandals.

Travels with Ali | A Camping Journal
July 5, 2015. Well, summer has arrived here and all the local people are complaining of the heat, while we are basking in the warmth. I think it did get up to 84 one day, but most days are in the 70s. I have finally stopped wearing a jacket everywhere I go! They ran out of food before even half of the crowd was served. Then came the honky tonk, and I mean the kind where cowboy boots should have been required dress. Oh my, I almost forgot the Polka Dot part of it! You were supposed to wear polka dots and ...

Travels With Allie | This is my written record of life abroad
This is my written record of life abroad. April 27, 2014. I have been working on a project about local heritage. In doing so, I have learned about Excalibur Estate in Catford, South London. This is Eddie. He is 93 years old. He has lived in this house since June 1946. If that date seems familiar, it should. Eddie is one of thousands who came back from World War 2 to find that he had lost everything. Over 1 million houses in the UK alone had been destroyed. I would like to help this community. If you want...

Follow Allison on her travels with Cliff and Jennifer in France, Mexico, Cuba, and elsewhere. Bird species in Cuba. April 24, 2015. Article about birding in Cuba. September 18, 2014. Would a rural restaurant still be open at 8:45 at on a week night? Did it even still exist? Could we find it after dark? Undaunted (well, only slightly daunted, but with a map and navigation), we set forth on our quest. We only made two wrong turns, but did not lose heart. At last we found the familiar restaurant,. Cliff and...

Travels with Alz Heimer
Travels with Alz Heimer. Saturday, October 25, 2014. I am thinking of ending this blog. I began it 6 years ago now when mom and dad were first living here with us and no longer able to live alone in LaGrange. We truly had many happy times with mom and dad the first years they were at Sutter Living Center. We went out to eat at McDonald's and shopping in the cute Ludington stores. We ate ice cream at House of Flavors and drove down along the lake front many times. He just doesn't answer. Links to this post.
Travels with a Muse
Travels with a Muse. To really experience life we must travel through this world in some manner. ©Paul Viel. Wednesday, January 07, 2015. We went to the Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge today Jan 5, 2015 and it was a great experience.
