Travels With Kat n Adam. September 23, 2014. So far in Utah, we have been to Salt Lake City, Park City, and Arches National Park; and I must say that utah has blown my mind away. Mostly everywhere you go, you can see mountains and beautiful landscapes. I simply must say that i love it here and would love to come back in the future. September 22, 2014. Li’l Paca meeting the local fauna. Russian church overlooking the village of Ninilchik. We saw our first moose in Alaska, musk oxen (my favorites! They fis...

Washington/Seattle - Travels With Kat n Adam

http://www.travelswithkatnadam.com/washingtonseattle

Travels With Kat n Adam. October 16, 2014. I haven’t spent any time in Seattle when it wasn’t beautiful and sunny! I think the locals want to keep the rest of the world away from their treasure. We walked to the area around the Space Needle, where there was lots of art to be seen. Chihuly Glass, the undulating architecture of a museum (don’t know what it’s called! A mosaic wall, and a tall, rusted steel sculpture installment that reminded me of corn or wheatfields. Adam was contemplating the view of Cana...

Arches National Park - Travels With Kat n Adam

http://www.travelswithkatnadam.com/arches-national-park

Travels With Kat n Adam. February 24, 2015. The far mesas and distant eroded, striated cliffs on the desert drive to Arches National Park were striking. When we arrived at Arches, the park ranger advised us to quickly secure a camping spot. He told us of a couple sites nearby, and his favourite, “Moonflower.” The road to these campsites was directly alongside a river in a gorge of red sandstone. To get to the campsite he recommended, we would have to hike 3 miles! Our goal was Double O Arch, which was a ...

Salt Lake City - Travels With Kat n Adam

http://www.travelswithkatnadam.com/salt-lake-city

Travels With Kat n Adam. January 20, 2015. Cars are definitely handy things to have. We picked up our Mazda mini sport, threw in all our gear, and shook the dust of Portland off our feet. We had a push of a drive to get to Salt Lake City that evening, and a couple of stops to make on the way. Adam at Multnomah Falls. The beginning of the Columbia Gorge was pretty, and sort of like the rolling hills like I paint for my railroad backdrops. Yes! I paint hills like these for my model railroad backdrops!

I am a native in this world And think in it as a native thinks. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. This looks like an amateurish animation in a bad sci-fi movie, but it is actually a series of photographs taken by NASA's Deep Space Climate Observatory last month showing our moon passing in front of the Earth. (That's mostly the Pacific Ocean you're seeing on Earth - you can see the west coast of North America moving away to the right, and Australia coming into view in the bottom left.). Links to this post. I took...

Kaye's travels toward and through publication. A long, wild ride! Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Work Like a Dog. This is national Work Like a Dog Day. It says so right here: http:/ www.holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/August/worklikeadog.htm. You may have noticed a notation that this should not be confused with Work-A-Holic Day, which was July 5th. So are we all working like dogs today? Maybe you are, but for me- heck no! It’s way too hot! Labels: DEATH IN THE TIME OF ICE. Dog days of summer. First, I'm ass...

Travels with Keesha — A book about finding freedom

A book about finding freedom Join the Adventure. I set out to write a book about my travels in the Yukon with Keesha and the lessons I learned from this wild and free dog. But I ended up writing a book about resilience and vulnerability. About how you rise rom the ashes of your own choices and the storms of life to find freedom. My heart danced with the sun, holding hands with the glacier and I burst with a feeling a freedom. I am free, I shouted to the glacier. I am free, I called to the raven&#...Keesh...

Travels with Kerry | Interesting places I have visited

Interesting places I have visited. November 13, 2011. S President Jammeh plans to make the country rich through oil, despite the fact there is none. The more realistic option is tourism and since the 1960s the Gambia has become one of the few African countries with a booming tourist trade. Africa’s smallest country is the setting for the ‘70s book and TV series Roots. So we took a boat to Juffreh on the river Gambia to visit the village and descendants of Kunte Kinte. Experts believe Alex Haley. Wanjo ju...

Travels With Kevin - Traveling the world you never knew you lived in

Traveling the world you never knew you lived in. Welcome to Travels With Kevin! There is nothing I enjoy more than traveling the world, meeting people from everywhere, and writing about the wacky place that is our planet. Mark Twain wrote, "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow mindedness." I believe he should've added "and it's friggin' hilarious.". Come with me as I take on the daunting task of traveling the world you never knew you lived in. Click on an article to read more:. Summer day&#4...
