Travels with Nathaniel: Scenery

It's been said that "a picture says a thousand words" so even though both Nathaniel and I are very fond of words - lots of words -. We thought perhaps we'd let the pictures do the talking on this page instead! Wall mural at The Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum. The Rose Dorothea half-scale model inside the Provincetown Public Library in the Children's Book section. Provincetown's recently renovated 1886 Town Hall. Fencing at Provincetown's Race Point Beach. Motif #1 at Rockport's Inner Harbor.

Are We There Yet??: "Walkin' Myelin & Myel-out" to Help Support a Friend

http://www.mouseski.com/2015/02/walkin-myelin-myel-out-to-help-support.html

Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Walkin' Myelin and Myel-out" to Help Support a Friend. On April 19th, I will be participating in the 2015 Walk MS in Narragansett, Rhode Island. As part of team "Walkin' Myelin and Myel-out." The team is captained by my friend Renee Holder and so far a little over $1,900 has been raised of the team's $2,500 goal - with most of that being raised by Renee who personally battles MS every single day of her life. Are We There Yet??: July 2012

http://www.mouseski.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Friday, July 27, 2012. Nosing Around in My HDHP. The best part is that once I make that deductible for the year (in my case it's $2,000) everything else for the year is paid 100% so if I know there's going to be a year when I might need to have a lot done (like this year) it behooves me to have my appointments and meet my deductible early which is the long way around explaining why I've had a lot of doctor's appointments this month! Which he said was going to sting - a lot. Guess what? Yep, they did!

Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Yep I reckon that's about how things seem at this here blog but it's certainly not because I haven't been blogging as I've been writing about all kinds of things over at The Distracted Wanderer. And Travels With Nathaniel. I'm finally starting to catch up on some of my adventures with Claire this past fall and as I took SO many photos, it's taking a lot of time to get 'er done. Are We There Yet??: March 2012

http://www.mouseski.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, March 31, 2012. The View From The Ivory Tower. The dispatch center that I work in is situated in a room that the road crews refer to as "The Ivory Tower" due to the fact that a) the building is white and b) the room is semi-circular in design. Makes sense, right? Even though we don't have windows that open, we do have a very big floor-to-ceiling window that looks out over the City of Norwich and sometimes affords us some pretty nice views. 11-15-2011 @ 6:38 AM - another sunrise over Laurel Hill.

Saturday, February 23, 2013. It Was the Best of Times, It Was the Worst of Times" - Yep, That's February! Well, I've been back from Florida for over a week now and we still have snow outside which is highly disappointing as I gave explicit instructions for it all to be gone by the time I returned from Orlando! Perhaps I didn't say it loud enough as it's threatening to snow yet again tonight. Enough already! After climbing back down those same 219 stairs and touring the rest of the museum and grounds, we ...

http://www.mouseski.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Tuesday, October 30, 2012. On the Other Side of Sandy. Wow What a weekend. Watching the news this morning and seeing the devastation along the New Jersey shore, the Connecticut coastline, and the streets of New York City, I am thankful that everyone I know is safe and sound and suffered no catastrophic losses but I know that there are a lot of folks out there whose lives will probably never be the same as they assess the damage that this super storm wreaked. For now I'm going to pack up the car and we're...

Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Ordinary Boy" is No Ordinary Read. I've not posted anything on this blog in a very, very, very long time but I thought I'd bring it out of mothballs long enough to share a book review from Goodreads as I think this book is definitely worthy of not just reading but reviewing and recommending! My rating: 5 of 5 stars. As a rule when I think about Stacey Longo's writing I think of words like "Terrifying and scary! Growing up in The Meadows, Curtis is not one of the popular kids i...

Last Friday morning the girls and I patted Tesla on the head with directions to behave himself when Andrew came by to feed and water him, threw our stuff, in the car, and pointed ourselves to the west. Amanda was going to spend the weekend with her friend Darci in Bennington who is attending college there while Jamie and I continued on to the Lake George area of New York. Day 29 and 30: Lectures and Papers, Lectures and Papers. Asymp; Leave a comment. We have spent the past two days at a university near Istanbul, hearing lectures about the EU, the current state of the Turkish economy, and Turkish migration patterns. These lectures were pretty interesting, but overall it was kind of a boring way to spend days after the excitement of being downtown in Istanbul. This is a study abroad after all, and I have to put in time with the study portion. Day 28: A Whole Lot of Waiting.

Travels with us!

A record of our holidays for people who aren't on holidays themselves and want to live vicariously though us. Also for us to remember what we did! So tonight for dinner we went to a Lu-au. I was sort of thinking of it abit like a football match in Melbourne. You know, sort of a must do, and a bit like football I feel like I have done that now and NEVER need to do it again. It was a bit like I'd imagine the swagman restaurant would have been in Melbourne before that DIED IN THE ARSE. Here are some photos.

Monday, June 10, 2013. Is it really June? Where did the last three months go? Time for picnics with neighbors. I've been picking lettuce for the last 3 weeks now. We have salad for dinner 2-3 times a week. Here's Mr. Nick gathering all his friends around him. Can you tell I am just crazy about this patio? I have envisioned this for years and it's everything I thought it would be. We often have a fire in the evening and sit out till dark. My brother's dog and Nicky at play.
