Tuesday, November 11, 2008. I served with the 82nd Airborne Division from 1991-94, I never saw a day of combat but was honored to serve with such an elite group of soldiers. "Airborne,All The Way". There aren't many WW2 veterans around any more. If you get the chance to talk to one you should. Listening to their stories will make you appreciate the sacrifices that they made to insure our freedoms. I know a few and make an effort to thank them when I see them. They really appreciate it.

Two milestones happened this semester in Honors Algebra 2. 1) All 32 of my students passed the EOC (making a level 3 or 4) - actually, all of them made an A or B on it. 2) One of them scored a 100 on it with a scale score 176 out of 178. This is the first time we have had all of our honors students pass and each honors teacher had at least one student make a 100 on the exam. Yea! Now for another challenge. working with the regular students to try to do the same thing.

Some of those young miles were pretty big. The adult males really look like a lion! It was all very scenic! Day 5 Marlo's second birthday! As dark as it gets! We had a delicious dinner when we arrived. Peruvian food. Chicken, rice, sweet potatoes and some kind of cake. The jungle sounds lulled us to sleep at the end of day 5 of our adventure.
