Sweet Tomato Pie: My latest project...
http://sweetomatopie.blogspot.com/2011/08/my-latest-project.html
Thursday, August 4, 2011. Remember that little teaser I gave you back here. You know, the fabric swatches I showed at the bottom of the post? WellI did something with them! It's called a quillow, and I learned how to make it from this excellent tutorial: Quillow. It's a gift for my first niece {yet to be born/named}. It is aptly named a "quillow" as it is a quilt, that folds into a pillow! The front of the quillow is light aqua with chocolate brown flecks, and is decorated with this little guy. The quill...

Sweet Tomato Pie: Where has the summer gone? Remembering Papa...
http://sweetomatopie.blogspot.com/2011/07/where-has-summer-gone-remembering-papa.html
Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Where has the summer gone? Mr Maestro went back to school this week. Where has this summer gone? It feels like just a couple of days ago we were getting ready to head to China - and now we're back and summer is nearly over! In theory, summer is supposed to be a time to sit back and relax for a while. That has not been the case for us this year! Here are a couple of pictures of me and Papa that show what a patient guy he was:. On a lighter note, we are headed with my fam to Savan...

Thursday, March 25, 2010. GHOSTS THAT AREN'T SCARY. I love pretty tunes! So, my friend from high school, Trey, and his family went for a drink and then headed over to The End on Elliston to see sweet friend Brandon Kinder and his band The Rocketboys. A.) Music = Enchanting B.)Their t-shirts are very soft and comfortable. C.) Brandon's voice is so clear live. Heart. I bought the full album. On iTunes and can't stop listening. My personal favorite that tends to be on repeat is the song. LOVE LOVE. LOVE.

A time to once again reflect on accomplishments and decisions made in the past year. And my personal favorite.making a bucket list for the next twelve months! APRIL and I ON NEW YEARS EVE. One of my best friends from college, April, came to visit Nashville with her husband. I had such a great time reliving old college memories with her and our other friends from school! Soon to t...

Whimsies and Fancies: Love and Silence
http://whimsiesandfancies.blogspot.com/2010/12/love-and-silence.html
Monday, December 20, 2010. And answering that question for herself every day. Will I trust God with my life this very day? Even this has fueled my resentment towards Him.I'm trying to trust, but where is He in these moments? So what has God taught me this year and what can I praise Him for? Although we wrote out lists of praises and answered prayers last night, I've kept thinking about what God could possibly be teaching me or showing me through pain, love, and silence. This is what I've come up with.

Sweet Tomato Pie: Even MORE China!
http://sweetomatopie.blogspot.com/2011/06/even-more-china.html
Thursday, June 30, 2011. Again, for those of you who have only read this one China entry, Mr. Maestro and I intended to keep a journal-ish log of our travels in China on this here blog. Unfortunately, what we did not realize was that Blogger is blocked in China! That being said, we are just now getting around to posting a recollection of our adventures in China (we were postponed due to some family circumstances which I will post more about later). Friday, June 3. What a long day! Saturday, June 4. We wo...

Sweet Tomato Pie: May 2011
http://sweetomatopie.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 27, 2011. CSA - Weeks 3 and 4. Last week was a blur. I could bore you with the details or I could just summarize by saying I cooked for 200 veterans on Monday, was in charge of a full day nutrition symposium on Tuesday, had a "normal" day of work on Wednesday, and was in Nashville for Training on Thursday and Friday! I got back home on Friday afternoon, just in time for Mr. Maestro's parents to arrive for a quick visit! It's even been shown to help heal wounds! I do have a confession - this w...

Sweet Tomato Pie: April 2011

Monday, April 25, 2011. Craving some Comfort Food? This past weekend, Mr. Maestro and I travelled to my hometown to share Easter with my family and spend some quality time with my grandparents. We had a GREAT time! I am not usually that much of a "shopper," but there is a weakness in my heart when it comes to Home Goods. If you've been before, you know what I mean. So why does my post title reference comfort food? I've never even heard of those." WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? A word of warning: This recipe d...
