I came up with the concept (with the help of others), created the visual language, and then directed a photographer to get this shot just right. We were allowed to use photographs or create shapes/images using type, but no illustrations. I never had a chance to work with photographs in this type class, so really wanted incorporate my ideas for type with photos. Here are the ones I made. All you need is love" - by The Beatles. I had to create a monogram for the photographer [Matthew Malcham] who I worked with the last quarter for my blue cheese ad. He likes simple, clean, and modern style, so this is what I came up with. He liked the very top one the best but also liked the frames that I used for the second one. So I made a slight change - this is the final piece. Sunday, January 31, 2010. Resolutions, Procrastinating Style. It's been a bit of a rough start to 2010 in a few different ways, so I'm a little late on getting to my resolutions. Well, these aren't all resolutions exactly, but they are nice to think about. I robbed them off of an e-mail forward from Duncan. I edited out both the hokey lines and the ones that I didn't feel applied to me. This is what was left:. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a beggar. Sleep for 7 hours.

Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Informative vs. Persuasive Speech. In my persuasive speech I said "um" way to much. In my informative I did that also just not as much. My hand gestures and enthusiasm. Was still lacking but it was an improvement from my informative speech. I still need to look towards the edges more. That is one thing I didn't do in either of my speeches. In both speeches I think I did well with my speed. I think I spoke slowly and people were able to understand me. Wednesday, May 12, 2010.
