At dusk, on the May Day, a Goblin was brought into our midst. He's. A terrible colour and can barely stand because his knees will tremble. He seems very mal-nourished and we think he's suffered some sort poisoning from a surfeit of tree-fungus, or possibly bluebell stalks. Jelly of Earth Worms. Will they never learn?

http://ecoenchantments.blogspot.com/2011/06/basket-full-of-wild-cherries.html
A slightly whimsical blog of the magickal, pagan and faery kind . Thursday, 23 June 2011. A basket full of wild cherries . The wild cherries are nearly ripe! Us'll need to keep an eye on them now and try to pick a bowlful before those birds get them - one day too late and whoooooosh! Some of us know the fruit by other names - ancient epithets - Hawkberry, Mazzard, Gean, Idath - folk names of long ago. And no - of course I will leave plenty for the birds - it's just that I want a little harvest first!

A slightly whimsical blog of the magickal, pagan and faery kind . Monday, 5 March 2012. Of Spring-cleaning and sunset streaks . I took this picture of the sun setting over the fields behind my wood near the village of Charing in Kent. Nearly Spring - and it reminded me of a poem that I'd enjoyed by American Poet Emily Dickinson. She imagines the streaks of coloured clouds as having been rendered by a kind of housewife-goddess-faery, sweeping the skies with her besom broom. And this hedgerow fae. You drop...

Over the Garden Wall. In the long ago days of my childhood most homes had a radio and,at least, a weekly newspaper. But it seemed to me that most of the interesting information was communicated over the garden wall,by the mothers,in between taking care of the children and hanging out or taking in the washing. Blogland reminds me of those sociable garden walls. Saturday, April 25, 2009. Down the Garden Path. Now 'tis the spring and weeds are shallow rooted,. Suffer them now and they'll o'ergrow the garden".
