http://ifiknewyouwerecomingidhavebakedacake.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
If I Knew You Were Coming I'd Have Baked a Cake. Sunday, 24 July 2011. So a while back i showed my dressing table that i managed to save from the tip! I spray painted it white and it looks bare. It was Cath Kidston style and stunning! It was going at £90 and looked popular as everyone was bidding like crazy. I looked into it and decided to make something myself. She used paper napkins! At £3.50 you cant go wrong. I picked up a few packs and styles and i tried it out on these drawers. So the other day we ...

If I Knew You Were Coming I'd Have Baked a Cake: Failsworth Antique Mill
http://ifiknewyouwerecomingidhavebakedacake.blogspot.com/2012/07/failsworth-antique-mill.html
If I Knew You Were Coming I'd Have Baked a Cake. Tuesday, 10 July 2012. On Monday we had a mooch around Failsworth Antique Mill. I was in my element I have been here before with a friend but did not really have time to have a good look. There are two mills one with odd's and ends and a few new wholesale pieces thrown in for example the bird cages and garden set. As I entered the second mill I took a huge gasp as this was right in front of me it was huge, it was part of a ten piece set and this was outsta...

If I Knew You Were Coming I'd Have Baked a Cake: December 2012
http://ifiknewyouwerecomingidhavebakedacake.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
If I Knew You Were Coming I'd Have Baked a Cake. Thursday, 6 December 2012. Romantic trim curtain and the dreaded dressing table. I am so pleased with the way they turned out they are so unique and nobody has the same pair of curtains. Although they will need a good iron I feel they will hold up well and washing them wont be a problem either. If you fancy making these curtains get your self to Home sense fast these are retailed at £55 per sheet I grabbed these at £19.99 "Bargain". Let me know below.

If I Knew You Were Coming I'd Have Baked a Cake: October 2012
http://ifiknewyouwerecomingidhavebakedacake.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
If I Knew You Were Coming I'd Have Baked a Cake. Friday, 26 October 2012. Fun at Alton Towers. Alton Towers all decked out for Halloween. As we walked around the grounds of Alton Towers there was always ghostly and haunting props like this one. A good friend of ours came for the ride and spent the day with us, here is Phil and I on the river rapids. For me this is the sort of ride that does not leave me feeling like a bag of nerves. We was called all sorts of names for wearing cagoules! Some lovely piece...

If I Knew You Were Coming I'd Have Baked a Cake: March 2012
http://ifiknewyouwerecomingidhavebakedacake.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
If I Knew You Were Coming I'd Have Baked a Cake. Friday, 16 March 2012. The question is do I stick with the same colour mirror throughout or should I mix it up? I have been busy this evening priming all three mirrors I have decided to paint them all the same colour. I really liked the finish on the first mirror but it just would not look right with the new colour scheme. I have decided to paint them this colour in "Strong White" it has a hint of grey and a off white finish. Labels: Dust ruffle valance.

Nelly's Eggs: August 2011
http://nellyseggs.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Friday, 26 August 2011. Understanding of the term 'no'. In the interest of positive parenting (reinforce the right behaviour / remove from the situation / blah de blah) I am trying not to use the word 'no' too much with Mabel. I don't want to end up standing in a precinct somewhere (probably smoking) eating / feeding a Greggs pasty whilst shouting 'no' to a child who barely notices my existence. However, with her new desire to grab EVERYTHING I find it coming out my mouth before I can help it. E was prob...

Nelly's Eggs: April 2011
http://nellyseggs.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, 30 April 2011. A right royal party! I adored the lace on Kate's wedding dress, was mesmorized by the strangely old fashioned yet somehow endearing traditions (imagine courtseying to your mother in law) and LOVED how genuinely happy they looked later in the day driving through London in an Aston Martin. Controversially I also liked the outfits of those slightly wayward princesses, I can’t help but love a bit of Vivienne Westwood ( http:/ www.flickr.com/photos/chicagofabulous/. Then we drove to G...

homebird: Fairy Lights and Geek Chic
http://the-home-bird.blogspot.com/2012/01/fairy-lights.html
Wednesday, 11 January 2012. Fairy Lights and Geek Chic. I've said it before but I love fairy lights. I have them all around the house. In fact, I think there is some kind of fairy light arrangement in every room apart from the kitchen and the bathroom (must rectify that). These cotton ball lights were a gift from Santa. I'm so happy with them and they are doing a grand job of putting a smile on this grumpy old boat race of mine at the moment. I picked up these Belle and Boo. This lovely little fella was ...

not just Nelly: February 2013
http://notjustnelly.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Monday, 18 February 2013. It's the smallest things, apparently. We have been busy doing some rather mundane (in my eyes) but seemingly exciting tasks over the last few weeks, which has brought about some 'firsts'. No need for Alton Towers, she thought it was brilliant. And it was nice and quiet meaning we swapped seats at least 3 times. Just for fun. Throughout her hot chocolate in a 'big girls cup' she just kept trying to get down and saying, "time to go home now". Dam that bus. After an initial bottom ...
