Day 19 - 19th May 2013 (TREC 1000). TREC 1000 Wilderness Walk. Blisters abound. luckily between the crew they have the necessary know-how to treat them. Becoming conditioned to walking daily in the bush will take up to 10 days, but should be plain sailing thereafter. Day 49 - 18th June 2013 (TREC 1000 Rhino on foot.). It's so very exciting to be close and with no vehicle when viewing these living dinosaurs. True, their poor eyesight conceals and blurs you in their vision, but. an excellent sense of smell and really keen hearing means they will as often as not approach you to investigate 'what' you are. Those encounters will have the heart pumping and adrenaline racing: truly memorable. It's an absolute MUST that we ensure the rhino survives. Day 1 - 1st May 2013.

The two males moved east in the Kruger National Park, but were replaced by a female and her cub. The Lion and Hyena density in the Manyeleti is fairly low and this is an attractive proposition to the Cheetah population.
