Monday, May 30, 2011. I've always loved rodeos. I usually try to at least hit one up each summer. This year I get a bonus. My Aunt's new boyfriend competes in penning/cutting. This means is that the horse and rider work together to pick particular calves out of a herd and put them somewhere else. Sunday, April 17, 2011. The Monthly Mendel: 5 Months. Let's start by getting soaking wet and running around the house like our pants are on fire! Then, we'll move on to grooming table time. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Whitey is a shy girl. She's unsure of strange people. especially men. Who can blame her, really? So, when we left Minnesota, Whitey came with us. Whitey got her name because she is registered as "(Kennel Name) Executive Digs". The whole litter has the word "Executive" in their name. For Whitey, Executive Digs = White House, hence "Whitey". Her sister is "(Kennel Name) Executive Action" and goes by Monica. I'll let you put that one together yourself. :o). It has not happened since.

Mendel is our most recent addition. He and I flew home from Seattle on January 17th, 2011 and he's been a dream ever since. Mendel is my first conformation show dog and I'm looking forward to many adventures with him in the show ring. He is my introduction to the Samoyed breed, and I simply couldn't love him more. I have on many occasions stated that if it could be arranged, I'll happily take 5 more Mendels. At only 6 months and 4 days Mendel took Winners Dog for his first point. Words I try to live by:.
