A tree by the river: February 2015
http://treebytheriverblog.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
A tree by the river. Living as a tree, with God at my side. Photos of hope and encouragement. Thursday, 19 February 2015. I would remove all the ticking in the world. I would remove all the ticking in the world. All the clocks that wait for hearts to stop. No difference between the boss or Mr Mop. Better if suddenly, in an activity, we drop. I would remove all the ticking in the world. All the marks that state your worth in numbers. Life's achievements counted in right and wrong answers. Verse Of The Day.
A tree by the river: A Silver Forest
http://treebytheriverblog.blogspot.com/2014/11/a-silver-forest.html
A tree by the river. Living as a tree, with God at my side. Photos of hope and encouragement. Sunday, 30 November 2014. Ten thousand buildings make a lovely silver forest. The builders were impressed by this metropolis. No green to be seen except in mouldy corners. The sun never reaches those in lower quarters. The trains rumble underground, helicopters hover. And neighbours shout over the noisy bulldozer. Black suited creatures scuffle in a line. Swarming little coffee shops to fill up the time.

A tree by the river: December 2014

A tree by the river. Living as a tree, with God at my side. Photos of hope and encouragement. Friday, 5 December 2014. An update and A poem. 368 days ago, I wrote a post called "The little blog that could" which had a little poem and then an update. It turned out to become more like "The little blog that didn't", which I am a bit sad about, but also happy, as it shows how many new things I have thrown myself into that has taken up my time. I'm a tree by the river. Sustained by the giver. There is no other.
A tree by the river: Ten Minute Poem
http://treebytheriverblog.blogspot.com/2015/05/ten-minute-poem.html
A tree by the river. Living as a tree, with God at my side. Photos of hope and encouragement. Monday, 4 May 2015. Ten minutes to write this so I type. Trying to find out about the hype. These letters seem to be too trite. To explain the one who is the light. Ten minutes is too short, too long. I've started thinking and don't belong. In the realm of short tweets or FB posts. I'm talking about the Lord of Hosts! Ten minutes, my average quiet time. Wake up, read bible, feel sublime. 5 May 2015 at 17:31.

Tree by Leaf
Maybe it's fitting, considering the supernatural nature of much of their lyrics, that Tree by Leaf's newest album seems to have dropped from the heavens. With no fair warning, the band that put out two of the best albums of the mid-2000s have this week posted their first in five years,. To Bandcamp, a full-length that can be had for a measly $5. Unfortunately, it's also their swan song. more. Listen, enjoy, pass it on here. Tree by Leaf was the unique synergy and musicianship of Garrett Soucy.

Tree by the River | Meditations on God's Word
Tree by the River. Meditations on God's Word. Dead in Two Weeks. Yes, You Do. March 26, 2014. I am fascinated by palindromes–you know those words or sentences that read the same backwards and forwards. That’s not surprising since mom and dad are palindromes. My name, David, almost makes it. Bob does, but I’m not Bob. The title of this blog is a palindrome: Drawn Onward. It’s actually part of a longer one:. Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward to new era? The Anachronism of Time. Read carefully P...

A tree by the river
A tree by the river. Living as a tree, with God at my side. Photos of hope and encouragement. Wednesday, 5 August 2015. University, even with 4 weeks of holidays, feels too soon. I didn't get to finish any Christian books, and now have to spend all my time reading Shakespeare. I didn't get to catch up with school friends, even though we "talked" about it (on FB, at least). I ate too much, slept too much, watched too much. I didn't do any creative things (including updating on here). What I should say:.
As a tree planted by the waters
As a tree planted by the waters. Ed's musings during his Peace Corps service in South Africa. Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Longtom Marathon: Please Help Me Support the KLM Foundation. So after being here in South Africa for nearly a year, it seems that I may have gone a bit crazy. I have decided that a good way to spend some of my time over the next two months will be to train to run a 56km ultra-marathon at the end of March. The ultra I'll be running is the Longtom Marathon. And it is tax-deductible....
