February 2015 – Tree Change 101
https://treechange101.wordpress.com/2015/02
A beginner's course on moving to the country. I know about bushfires in Australia. Friends’ lives changed forever when an inferno razed Marysville on Black Saturday; I heard Murray Nicoll broadcasting live to air as his house burned on Ash Wednesday; I have walked among once-beautiful snow gums reduced to skeletal sculptures in Victoria’s high country; and I have written about the rebirth … Continue reading Smoke and Mirrors. Taking a deep breath! – Tree Change 101
https://treechange101.wordpress.com/2012/11/26/hello-world
A beginner's course on moving to the country. Taking a deep breath! Melbourne has been my home for 50 years. Over that time I’ve explored Australia and the world, as a youngster with family, as a teenager with my travel-bug-bitten Dad, as a twenty-something overlander and as a travel writer since 1995. But I’ve never lived anywhere else that I remember, photographs being the only memories of babyhood in northern England and Canada. But it’s still exciting and scary. Lookout Euroa, here we come!

Hats off to Hmong headgear | A Glass Half Full

A Glass Half Full. Travel and life with lee mylne. Hats off to Hmong headgear. May 16, 2015. Covering our heads is common in many cultures. Christian women traditionally wore hats to go to church, many Muslim women wear headscarfs. But it’s not just about religion. Traditional dress in many countries involves headgear, and some of the most colourful headwear I can recall seeing – in an everyday setting – is the dress of the Hmong people of northern Vietnam. May 17, 2015. A Glass Half Full. May 17, 2015.

I wandered around the garden again on Monday 6th October, taking more shots of what's coming out right now. On Monday night we had a BIG WIND! I looked out the window and there was my beautiful Winpara Gem split in two pieces, with two-thirds of it lying on the ground! Prostrate Acacia - A. maxwillii. I crea...
