Give me a thankful heart; let me be thankful for the love I’ve recieved from you. Let this heart think of you when I study, when I eat, when I do anything; let me do it as if I am working for my friend. Give me strength to work for you, Lord, and not for anyone else. The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need.

Yet, even right now as I’m sitting here in Norris all by myself (on shift, not by choice), I feel incredibly lonesome. I am thinking to myself. Oh no, it’s happening again. That same “gray” area I get into when I realize just how alone I am. Will I just make friends over the summer, after graduation? Is it perhaps loneliness is seductive, as if I actually enjoy this state?
