Greenwood Woman: 06/15/12

Friday, 15 June 2012. Riven Oak Demi Vase - a prototype. I've been developing my riven oak vase idea, which first started at the Contemporary Coppice workshops with Charlie Whinney in February 2012. http://alastairdargue.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Friday, 16 November 2012. No, I haven't had the paint out recently! These are natural colours created by time. This bent branch spoon is damson from a branch I found which had been cut off last year. The wood was fairly dry and hard as hell to work. The pink is a layer just under the bark so I left it on to show the natural curve of the bowl rim.
