John at St Just. Nothing much is known of John except that he went to America and was never heard of again. Asket survived the disaster by clinging to an upturned boat. Whilst updating these notes (June 2004), I came across an internet request from a Gregory Asket Hutchinson in South Africa wanting to find information about his Great Grandfather Asket T Harvey. The surviving part of the teaset. Died as a very small child. William is the next ancestor to follow. Read about him here.

John at St Just. As his career progressed and wealth increased, John began to invest in mines. One of which was Wheal Caul or Wheal Castle at the end of the Tregeseal Valley. It was fitted with the largest water wheel in the County - some 50 feet in diameter. The shares were offered for sale in the Mining Journal after John’s death.
