Then went to the Bluebell Tea Rooms for Wimbledon Sponge and a pot of tea. It was abit worrying as heard myself say to Dave whilst looking at a canal map- the Cheshire Ring.mmmm 95 miles - perhaps I can do that next - am turning into the canal version of Forest Gump! Met the resident cat Tabby at the Cafe who took a real shine to Nat. Saturday, 30 June 2012.

Trent and Mersey Canal Walk. Saturday, 30 June 2012. As it was not throwing it down - we spontaneously decided to continue the walk. Had thought we would have a pub lunch - but could we find a suitable one - no we couldn't - so fortunately found a lovely Pizza Hut near Tunstall. Trent and Mersey Canal Walk. Friday, 8 June 2012. After glorious weather it has not stopped raining. It was so tempting to say that I would start another day but I am made of stronger stuff! Several people who were to walk with me were put off by the weather and I was also worried that it would be hard going under foot and some of the volunteers were in the 70 category. Dad, Pam and I started at the Tunnel stop and walked to get onto the canal at Preston Brook. Dave and Nathaniel joined us at Acton Bridge.
