The Massner Tales: Christmas 2012
http://massnerfamily.blogspot.com/p/christmas-2012.html
Christmas carols fill the home, Jesse just handed me my first candy cane of the year, and Mom is getting out the big green address book. These annual milestones can only mean one thing: I am running remarkably behind on my Christmas letter. The Massner family has most certainly kept busy this year, though often as we look back it is hard to figure out what kept us so busy. Hence, I shall delve into the archives and see what I can find. One final note: I was told to share our blog website in the Christmas...

Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Buscad Primero (Ixtlan 2013). By the Ixtlan VBS students). Relatively speaking, I am home. I had a wonderful, blessed trip to Mexico and am so thankful for the many experiences and relationships we developed through the ten days I was there. I am back in the states now, but am planning to spend another week in Minnesota before going back to Iowa and the reality that awaits. Trip to Ixtlan, Mexico: July 17-27, 2013. We woke up at 3:30am to catch the 4:00 shuttle for our 6:00 flight...

The Massner Tales: December 2013
http://massnerfamily.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 6, 2013. Aside from the Wedding. We can stop and think about something besides the wedding again? Yes, it is finally possible. This post consists of a bunch of pictures to catch up on our lives outside of the W-E-D-D-I-N-G, now that the house can breathe again and Christmas is making its entry. We got back from our honeymoon in time to celebrate Jonathan's 16th birthday. He can drive now and Mom loves having someone to run people around for her! Thursday evening at Rob and Kathryn's.

The Massner Tales: Great is His Faithfulness!
http://massnerfamily.blogspot.com/2013/08/great-is-his-faithfulness.html
Wednesday, August 14, 2013. Great is His Faithfulness! It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. For those of you who haven't heard, I got engaged last weekend to a wonderful man named Matthew Schulz. :) I am very happy and peaceful about taking this new step in faith and believe it was the work of the Lord that brought us together. For those of you who have. The colors are hopefully going to be lavender ...

The Massner Tales: The Weekend that Never Was
http://massnerfamily.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-weekend-that-never-was.html
Wednesday, September 4, 2013. The Weekend that Never Was. Well What a weekend our Labor Day was. We started out on our way to Rockville, Connecticut, but for some reason unbeknownst to us, God had another adventure in mind. It all began (well, who knows when it really. Began) when we arrived at the Moline airport to find that our 1:18 flight had been delayed until 1:50, soon to be changed again to 2:10. Quite a deal, huh? If only we knew that this was only a slight preparation for the day to come. At 7:4...

Wednesday, August 28, 2013. College students at the Ames church potluck on Sunday:. Front L-R: Aston F. (West Bend), Andrew M. (Lester), Logan L. (Oakville), Kurt B. (West Bend), Katie P. (Lester). Back L-R: Billy, Jared S. (Oakville), Reed W. (Oakville), Caleb L. (Oakville), Jake S. (Burlington). I also came up with a list of my own tips on how to survive the first three days at college:. 2 Wear compression shorts; you will walk a lot and it helps with chafing. 3 Go to your classes; they cost you a lot.

The Massner Tales: Mom's meager review of Christmas 2013
http://massnerfamily.blogspot.com/2014/01/moms-meager-review-of-christmas-2013.html
Monday, January 13, 2014. Mom's meager review of Christmas 2013. I don't think Chuck was too impressed by that. It has been an adjustment having Stephanie out of the house so I am slowly adjusting to this change. I am realizing that with no other females in the house, either the boys need to get out of their comfort zone and do a little work around the house or their mother is going to be sitting in an institution blankly staring at them with a glazed over look real soon! My washing machine broke down ri...

The Massner Tales: In the Beginning
http://massnerfamily.blogspot.com/p/our-family.html
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.". Many years ago, in 1993, a family was born in Southeast Iowa in a town called Mediapolis upon the marriage of two very dear souls: Mr. Charles and Mrs. Lois Massner. The groom was an engineer at General Electric in Burlington, and the bride a businesswoman from Hancock, Minnesota. God looked upon this union and saw that it was good. Before the family could expand again, however, some infrastructural expansions had to be made. ...
