Happy Birthday King T.P. Monday, January 26, 2015. I arrived to work a little later than my usual time, which is still 10 minutes before I clock in. I was met at the top of the stairs by my co-worker, Taylor. "Why are you early on your birthday? Taylor", I responded, "I am always early". She wasn't done with what I suspected was a Birthday surprise. I was ushered in the break room, where I sat, waiting, for the next 45 minutes. Taylor is the one in red. That evening I went out to Red Robin for dinner.

Crying, Temples and Cathedrals. Sunday, August 10, 2014. I started out this week crying. If I were a really good novelist I would have left that opening as a major cliff hanger and not told you until the end of this post why I cried so much on Monday. Alas, I am not a novelist, so I'll tell you why I cried so much on Monday. I went to see The Fault In Our Stars. If you have not seen this movie, I highly recommend it. My tear ducts sure got a cleaning. After the tour, we went out to dinner at Roosters.

Lonnie and Melissa Walters and Craig, Alaska! Tuesday, May 26, 2015. A true vacation. This past, extended weekend, I traveled up to Craig, Alaska to attend my friends Melissa and Lonnie's wedding. This was my first time in Alaska, and boy it did not disappoint. You'll see all the blue! The locals kept telling me this isn't usual Alaska weather, so I got a special treat! Leaving Salt Lake City airport on Thursday morning. Having landed in Ketchikan, Alaska, the sun was out and the temperatures were up!

Old Friends and Pillar Love. Monday, March 30, 2015. As a follow up from last week's post describing my medical follow up, things are still clear and no signs of cancer! On Thursday night, I noticed my friend who I grew up with, Mackenzie, posted online that she would be having a little benefit concert for a friend who was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I decided I would love to see her and hear her sing again. I didn't respond to her FB post and decided to surprise her instead! It was well over due.

I'll Be Home For Christmas. Monday, December 29, 2014. I got out of work a little early on Tuesday night to make my flight. I expected the typical airport palooza and long lines in security. Nope. I was through security in under five minutes. I was selected for the pre-screening line, which meant I kept my shoes, belt and jacket on. Merry Christmas to me! However, even if I wasn't in pre-screening, the airport was almost empty. We sure surprised Karen. Courtney on the other hand had figured things out.
