Triad Music Blog: New Album Review: Haste Make/Hard-Hearted Stranger, Mandolin Orange

http://triadmusicblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/new-album-review-haste-makehard-hearted.html

Saturday, October 8, 2011. New Album Review: Haste Make/Hard-Hearted Stranger, Mandolin Orange. The new double album, Haste Make/Hard-Hearted Stranger from Carrboro, NC band, Mandolin Orange, sounds a lot like the band's previous album. That statement probably sounds like a negative one. But it's not. The band's first album, Quiet Little Room, was one of my favorite albums of 2010, so more of the same certainly isn't a bad thing. Grade: 8.9 out of 10. Visit the band's new website, mandolinorange.com.

Triad Music Blog: The Avett Brothers at White Oak Amphitheater - Greensboro, NC (10/8/11)

http://triadmusicblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/avett-brothers-at-white-oak.html

Monday, October 10, 2011. The Avett Brothers at White Oak Amphitheater - Greensboro, NC (10/8/11). The Avett Brothers played to a sold out crowd of over 7500 at White Oak Amphitheater in Greensboro on Saturday night. The show reminded why I first fell in love with this band and why I still love this band. Unfortunately, it also reminded me how an Avett show has changed over the years and why, despite my love for them, it may be some time before I attempt to see them again. Hard Times Come Again No More.
