I like to ride all sorts of bikes–mountain bikes, cyclocross bikes, road bikes–and I like to race them about as much as I like to ride them (well, except for the road bikes). This keeps my competitiveness in check and ensures that I do not die in a fit of road rage while driving home from work. Are blogs still cool? Were they ever cool? My Tour de West Coast came to an end earlier this week, capped off with sitting on my bike for HOURS and getting stuck with a cactus in Sabino Canyon (sigh), all part of the fun at Jen Harrison's annual triathlon camp. Keep on Running, Keep on Running, Running Running. JHC's Tucson Tri Camp 2011. This past weekend I attended one of Jen's. Tucson Tri Camps. It absolutely did not disappoint. JHC's camp gave the words "hammered" and "trashed" a totally different meaning from the usual college frat party connotation (though the result was much the same - passed out, but without the hangover). Day 1: Mount Lemmon (25 miles of UP) and T-run. What a fantastic bike ride - LOVED it! Day 2: Swim, Bike, T-run. Thank you to Jen.

It's a chicken pie full of cinnamon and other spices, baked in puff pastry, and sprinkled with powdered sugar on top (take THAT Mom's chicken pot pie, hahaaaa! As a kid growing up, my family would always get together with other families and I remember New Years always being so fun with a houseful of friends. Those New Years celebrations were almost always more soul-satisfying than the ones that I ended up spending at a bar in my 20s. My failed, cracked, feet-less chocolate macarons. Cocoa messes everything up - but tastes so good! So we can fly.
