The Gittelman Family: July 2011

Monday, July 18, 2011. Summer swimming comes to a close. The boys had their last Stingray meet on Saturday. It was a great way to end the season as they both qualified for the final 'A' meet (only Joshua qualified for the previous 'A' meets, in backstroke) which was at our home pool, and which we won! They will both have an easier time next year as they'll be at the top of their age groups. In fact, Joshua, having a late birthday, could actually stay in the 7/8 age group for two more years! Turning two a...

Monday, June 13, 2011. Sunday, June 5, 2011. Virginia Wine Country Half Marathon. I ran a half marathon on Saturday.from one Virginia winery to another. We have so many wineries in this area it's quite crazy. I think wine-making is the new farming! The race itself was nothing special but we were treated to a post-race wine-tasting from a lot of vineyards that was great! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Monday, January 31, 2011. I suggested to Daniel that we create a 3-level diorama depicting the underworld, the mortal world, and Mt. Olympus. Daniel decided what would be in each scene and we used playmobil characters to depict them. It was a lot of fun! Sunday, January 30, 2011. Snow = No School. Here's our week in review:. Sunday, April 24, 2011. So Long, Farewell. The house is too quiet. We just dropped off Sarah, Fiona, and Emma at the airport after a fun day. Sarah and I made a roast for lunch in honor of that being Emma's favorite meal, as well as today being Sunday and Easter, although I don't think we really needed an excuse to eat roast beef and potatoes! Emma helped us make the food and quite possibly ate the most, too! I know there were 4 potatoes on her plate and I think she did eat them all. :). Then we drove to...

The Gittelman Family: February 2011
http://fourgittelmans.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 18, 2011. Well, our changeable weather had us stripping down to shorts, tee shirts, and even bathing suits this week! Yes, we went from the 30s last week to today's high of 72! I told the boys we could get the slip and slide out if it hit 70. We just got a new double one, along with water guns, and they couldn't wait to try it out. When we got home from school it was already cooling off (Joshua actually complained he was too hot to walk home when I picked them up! View my complete profile.
