Skiffer the Drifter (. Race Report: Tinman Triathlon, Tauranga. Not much in between. I don't know what that says, if anything, about the difference between the sports or the communities, lj or real world. The day was gorgeous: 20degrees (Centigrade), scattered high cloud and light, light wind that only came up about 2 hours after the start of the race. (It's summer down here. The bike leg was terrible. The course was gorgeous: mostly rolling hills along the beach (Oh, Pacific Ocean! Overall Time: 1:44: 34.

Holy crap, that was something else. Between the Wildflower Long Course training I just finished and all the mountain bike racing I had been doing, I'd be able to handle the Xterra Tahoe City event without any issues. As usual, things didn't turn out that way. The Swim - 1200 meters 500 meter run to T1. The Bike - 22 miles, 4000 feet of elevation. The Run - 6 miles, 1000 feet of elevation.
