The ups and downs being a mom.com weblog. Humor in the Home. My Son’s Growing Vocabulary. June 11, 2010. Tags: a mom's life. My son is now 9, and just finished 3rd grade. This has been a huge year of changes! His grades improved :) He’s taller :) He’s beginning to really be a help around the house🙂. Sadly, both Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny have bit the dust :(. Maybe the best part is that he is really funny! Sorry, I digress. Back to the story. Mommy, what’s a p#ssy? What happened to his tag line?

The ups and downs being a mom.com weblog. Humor in the Home. Adventure at the Beautician’s. July 29, 2010. Tags: a mom's life. Those old white hairs had begun to peak thru. It was time. So, off to my beautician I went. Just one small snag in this usually pleasant experience, my son had to come along. My nine-year old was less than enthused to say the least. However, a book and his DSI thing-a-ma-jig made it a pinch less life threatening. What is on your head? You can’t cover-up your oldness. Welcome to t...

The ups and downs being a mom.com weblog. Humor in the Home. What do you want to be when you grow up? One of my best friends was teaching 3rd grade down the hall from my 4th/5th split. I asked her what things do you like to draw? Like my mom does, you know, draw, you get checks in the mail. Oh. Or you will owe me recess ti...

The ups and downs being a mom.com weblog. Humor in the Home. Humor in the Home. The Visitation at the Funeral Home. My 7 yr. old son kept staring at the casket. Stop staring! Well, we just don’t do that, it’s not polite. Can I touch her? Well, yes, some people often touch the people they loved, as a way to say good-bye. Oh, I don’t want to say goodbye, I just want to touch her, are her bones still inside her? How much will that cost, I don’t see anyone else paying money, who do they pay it too? Being a m...
