Playing the Spots Off: Super A Observations
http://playingthespotsoff.blogspot.com/2006/07/super-observations.html
Playing the Spots Off. Discussion of Duplicate Bridge Play and Bidding. Thursday, July 13, 2006. Before our session began at 8 we had time in the afternoon to kibitz some of the "star" teams playing in the open division that started its first session at 1 pm Andrew and I sat down to watch Meckstroth and Rodwell and it just so happened they were playing a 6 board match against District 14's own Bill Kent, Monte Evans, Vernon Evans, and Peggy Kaplan. Playing the Spots Off. Discussion of Duplicate Bridge Play and Bidding. Tuesday, August 08, 2006. OGUST over Weak Two Preempts. Undisciplined two’s come up twice as often as disciplined two’s. The more you preempt the more problematic decisions you create for the opponents. Decisions the opponents will sometimes get WRONG! OGUST responses to a 2NT ask will let you and your partner preempt more without hurting your own constructive auctions. S1065 HQJ8632 DKJ C53 SK6 HK109752 DK10 C1085. Disciplined is 2 ...

Playing the Spots Off: Better to have tried and failed
http://playingthespotsoff.blogspot.com/2006/08/better-to-have-tried-and-failed.html
Playing the Spots Off. Discussion of Duplicate Bridge Play and Bidding. Tuesday, August 08, 2006. Better to have tried and failed. Well, we didn't win in Chicago. We lost. I guess that is life. I can't say I wasn't disapointed because I was. I thought we worked hard, and gave it our best. 'nuff said. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States. Playing the Spots Off: July 2006
http://playingthespotsoff.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Playing the Spots Off. Discussion of Duplicate Bridge Play and Bidding. Friday, July 14, 2006. On to the final 8. Tonight we had a good set and won 80-44 against a good team from the UCLA area in California. We knew several of the team members from playing on bridgebase online. After the first 14 boards, we were ahead 11 imps. The second half gave us some opportunities to foul up our opponents big club relay system and we ended up gaining another 25. We will play tomorrow in the quarter finals at 1 pm.

Playing the Spots Off: GNT 1st Session
http://playingthespotsoff.blogspot.com/2006/07/gnt-1st-session.html
Playing the Spots Off. Discussion of Duplicate Bridge Play and Bidding. Thursday, July 13, 2006. Overall I thought Jeff Buckwalter and I played well. We defended most of the night bidding one slam and one game in 28 boards. I declared only 2 hands all evening, whci probably explains why we aren't doing worse ;-). More later this afternoon. Playing the Spots Off: July 2007
http://playingthespotsoff.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Playing the Spots Off. Discussion of Duplicate Bridge Play and Bidding. Tuesday, July 03, 2007. On a sadder note we will miss the attendance of Andrew Clements, one of our normal precision team players. Andrew was almost completely taken from us earlier this year when he succumbed to marriage. He is recovering and we hope he'll be recovered enough to play the mini-Spingold in Detroit. Photos and more posted late Wednesday night. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
