Another American Expat: More than halfway there
http://anotheramericanexpat.blogspot.com/2010/02/more-than-halfway-there.html
Originally from New York, currently in Amsterdam. A bunch of other things and places happened in between there and here, but I'm quite happy for the time being. February 19, 2010. More than halfway there. But how to keep busy in the meantime? Over the weekend, S. and I also stopped by the Brouwerij het Ij. The cinemas are also a great place to hide inside during these winter days. A few nights ago I visited Delicatessen Zeeburg. For the first time to watch Repo Man. Which was great. I'm still hitting...

Originally from New York, currently in Amsterdam. A bunch of other things and places happened in between there and here, but I'm quite happy for the time being. June 5, 2009. The past few weeks have been pretty amazing. First, there was Ascension day. Which I'm linking to because I had no idea what it was celebrating. Another American Expat: August 2009
http://anotheramericanexpat.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Originally from New York, currently in Amsterdam. A bunch of other things and places happened in between there and here, but I'm quite happy for the time being. August 3, 2009. The more I move, the more I learn. In that neighborhood (the history, the beauty, the fact that it was very central) and would often find myself there to hang out with friends, I didn't like actually living. I mean, if you value peace and quiet so much, move to the country. Hearing my neighbors walk around has been part of eve...

Originally from New York, currently in Amsterdam. A bunch of other things and places happened in between there and here, but I'm quite happy for the time being. February 5, 2010. The less-glamorous (but necessary) side of expat life. I've been trying to catch up on some administration in my daily life, and thought to myself about how these routines that now seem so normal were so incredibly foreign when I first got here.
