Adventures of Aita Pe'ape'a. Monday, August 31, 2009. Bora Bora to Aitutaki. This was our best passage to date, with steady winds, small to medium seas and virtually no squalls. There was 3-4 knots of current with a very shallow reef on each side. The pass is 40 feet wide at the narrowest and 5-6 feet deep the entire way.
