Interesting Times in the Indian Himalaya | a long way home...
https://tristanloti.wordpress.com/2011/03/13/interesting-times-in-the-indian-himalaya
A long way home…. 8230;for the journey! Interesting Times in the Indian Himalaya. March 13, 2011. I must now cut to the chase. It has been six months since I last updated this blog. Initially this was due to a mixture of laziness and being busy. But then my reasons changed, as you will see. So what more of Jaipur and Rajasthan? Peter left. Had I left India at that point I would have thought ‘that was a great trip with friends, India was interesting, but where to next? I met some interesting folk in that ...

A week of mischief later and we all (we ran into a bunch of SOAS students surprise? One Response to “Kathmandu, Pokhara and Nargakot – part II”. September 3, 2010 at 7:38 am. A long way home…. 8230;for the journey! A Rumble in Rajasthan. September 25, 2010. A poll tax for non-Muslims. However, more Hindu served in high positions under Aurangzeb than any other Mughal ruler. But that’s just history and I shan’t bore you further, for I have a better tale to tell. Posted in India - part II. One Response to “A Rumble in Rajasthan”. October 8, 2010 at 8:54 pm. Hello my best cousin,. Anyways, I’ve been quiet because I’ve been ill and we’ve moved house! Really miss you – but lo...

Finally some photos for you all and many more to come from the next update…. Does it matter what gives us this feeling? Why am I not content without such a feeling? J You know I’m joking right? I know y...

Positivpeter's Welt - Wherever the Winds Take Me. Monday, 27 December 2010. One bit of the shore, lined with restaurants. That's a stormy day, often it's much quieter. Could be out of a catalogue I feel. One of the more upmarket restaurants right next to where I'm staying. The view from my bamboo hut. The faint lights on the other side are in Saudi Arabia, which is just across the Red Sea. I like the tranquility of this picture, ocean and sky seem to blend into one! No comment needed ;-).

Participants have 36 hours to get as far away from Cambridge as possible without using any of their own money. Teams of two have to get sponsors beforehand who pledge to give a certain amount per kilometer travelled, borders crossed, strangers kissed, whaetever comes to a donor's mind. And swimming things. How wrong that choice of clothes would turn o...
Positivpeter: Demo against education cuts

Positivpeter's Welt - Wherever the Winds Take Me. Wednesday, 10 November 2010. Demo against education cuts. Today I attended the national demonstration against education cuts. It was organised by the NUS. And some other unions (teachers and others involved in education in some way or another) and was very well attended. The official number seems to be 50.000 - an incredible increase from the few that came to Downing Street some weeks ago (I think it was around 500 but I can't find the figures now). In th...

Positivpeter's Welt - Wherever the Winds Take Me. Monday, 19 July 2010. Still, the conditions are extreme. At one point during the journey my right was facing the glaring sun sweating, while my left was in the shade with goosebumps. I wonder if the many workers who try to keep the road free from ice and landslides ever get used to this feeling. On the road again! Stunning view at about 3000 meters. Apart from the uncertainties about the road quality the journey was simply amazing. Our fellow Indi...The p...

Positivpeter: Petra
http://positivpeter.blogspot.com/2010/12/petra.html
Positivpeter's Welt - Wherever the Winds Take Me. Tuesday, 28 December 2010. The ruins of Petra spread over a massive area, we covered only about a third of it in one day. What I like about it is that while there is a main path to follow to all the key attractions, you can easily leave it and explore yourself. Right at the entrance. Lazier people rent horses, donkeys or horse carriages to go around. Tough people like me walk everywhere and feel dead tired when coming home. Waiting for the tourists to come.

Positivpeter's Welt - Wherever the Winds Take Me. Tuesday, 25 December 2007. Hampi, Weihnachten, hart abchillen.
Positivpeter: January 2008

Positivpeter's Welt - Wherever the Winds Take Me. Tuesday, 29 January 2008. So kann jeder lesen was passiert. Rikshas. Im Stau. Normales Strassenbild in Dhaka.

a long way home... | …for the journey!
A long way home…. 8230;for the journey! September 13, 2011. The short story…. There were once two brothers who travelled on Earth. They were a curious pair, always eager for adventures and pastures new. As younglings, they were always looking around the next corner. They had soon walked wherever they could place their feet, and they swam in every ocean, sea and lake that they laid eyes upon. They visited so many places that their passports ran out of pages. What have you learned? No time at all! There is...
