My Trials and Tribulations with My GT6 and Dolomite. Friday, 10 April 2015. A common issue with Triumph Dolomites is that the Sun can damage the top of the rear seat if the car is regularly parked outside in the summer. The slopping rear window focuses the sunlight on the nylon corduroy seat material and basically melts it resulting in damage like below. And decent second hand seat backs are becoming rare. I'm pretty pleased with the result as it looks like it was supposed to be trimmed in that way!

My Trials and Tribulations with My GT6 and Dolomite. Saturday, 13 June 2015. MOT for the "Log" and Ace Cafe. Good Day for Triumphing today. The "Flying Log" Dolomite passed it's MOT this morning, best thing though which I didn't notice unril I got home was the invoice that accompanied the certificate. Bank Holiday Sunday was a nice sunny day and the turn out at the local classic car breakfast meet at White Lion Antiques was nice and busy with a few nice cars that I hadn't seen there before. My Trials and Tribulations with My GT6 and Dolomite. Thursday, 26 December 2013. Dragging the Dolomite into the 21st century. Just installed a couple of Christmas presents into the Dolomite this afternoon. Some good old fashioned pod speakers in the corners of the front parcel shelf to compliment the rear pods I fitted a few weeks ago, which suit the cars age. Sunday, 8 December 2013. White Lion Breakfast Meet. Back to the Future? This Anglia was very tasty, it's got a Lotus Twin Cam Engine.

My Trials and Tribulations with My GT6 and Dolomite. Sunday, 12 January 2014. White Lion Breakfast Meet with Triumph as featured marque. It was Triumph's turn to be the featured marque at the White Lion Breakfast meet this morning. I had my kids this weekend so no chance of using the GT6 but managed to bribe them to come along on the promise of a cooked breakfast in the bistro so the "Flying Log" Dolomite got it's first outing to the White Lion. 65279;. A few more of the nicer non-Triumphs there today.

My Trials and Tribulations with My GT6 and Dolomite. Monday, 28 April 2014. Ok so I did fix it and sods law, look whats just arrived! I wasn't going to fix the downpipe gasket on the Dolly, but I decided as I have a few gaskets I would replace it before the Isle of Wight weekender. My Trials and Tribulations with My GT6 and Dolomite. Sunday, 12 July 2015. Just arrived home after a good weekend away at TriumFest, Donnington Circuit. I had the kids for the weekend so had to use the "Flying Log", a pity as it would have been nice to be able to use the GT6 for the laps around the Heritage Loop Circuit and on the Autosolo. Well I suppose he is a growing teenager. Driving the Heritage loop in the "Flying Log". Dave Aspinal onm the Heritage loop in his Mk1 2.5pi. Well Sorted 1300 FWD.

My Trials and Tribulations with My GT6 and Dolomite. Saturday, 22 February 2014. Thatll be it then. The Dolomite has let me down a couple of times recently on start up. Turn the ignition on and everything lights up as normal, turn the key to start and the solenoid clicks and then all the electrics go out. A quick wriggle of the positive battery cable to the solenoid and everything springs back into life and all works fine again for a week or two. Terminal end starting to break up.
