Our CSA is yielding delicious products of August: corn, zucchini, eggplants (or aubergine), tomatoes, potatoes, kale, leeks, okra, and peaches! These vegetables are so fresh and so delicious, they hardly need to be cooked, but they taste delicious when they are. What better to drink alongside fresh vegetables than lemonade? Just another WordPress.com site. June 27, 2012. We used the last of the escarole for a salad with some fresh radishes and scallions which were delicious – tart, but also a little sweet. In the bowl in the middle there is a little grated Pecorino Romano. Early summer is delicious! June 27, 2012 at 7:56 pm. We had a salad with lettuce, pea tendrils and peas tonight! For the first time the “storage” crops came in (onions and potatoes), but the tomatoes keep coming too, and they are delicious! The addition of tomatoes is particularly exciting, since they are my favorite summer foods by far. Just another WordPress.com site. July 11, 2012. The vegetables just keep coming! This week there were fresh onions, blueberries, squash, cucumber, chard, carrots, corn, lettuce and cilantro! All of which will make for some delicious dinners. I am particularly looking forward to the corn, which is the best. Part about summer, apart from the nice weather and the tomatoes of course!
