Friday, November 19, 2010. Well it's all over now.I am sitting at home, thankfully, recovering from extensive surgery which made me wonder why on earth I did it! The surgery took over 7 hours, and is not a procedure I would recommend in a hurry! I had to sleep upright in hospital which was punishment in itself, as I am tummy sleeper, so it is great to be at home in a decent, normal bed, although still sleeping on my back :-(. Friday, 9 October 2009. Ode to my mother. Today is the day I said goodbye to my mother. What a day. I've been feeling tearful all week about her leaving, and last night cried myself to sleep. Why? Because she is the most wonderful mother you could ask for and she was going back to England, after dropping her own life to help me keep mine going. Wednesday, 13 October 2010. Just wanted to say that life is good. I feel great, physically, like I never had anything go wrong, which is great. I am managing my stress, taking deep breaths and remembering the simple things in life, the stuff that counts. I am blessed with family who love and support me, and my children are my treasures.
