Life with the Poelstras. A glimpse into this crazy thing we call life. Monday, October 29, 2012. Once again I am playing catch up! Last week Saturday Faith's soccer season ended. I must admit, I was thankful as it resulted in two weekly events (Thursday practice and Saturday game) coming off our schedule! But Faith had a great time playing soccer again this year, and her team won quite a few games, which was fun! We are all getting ready and are excited for the arrival of the baby! The Week in Review!

On on our last full day of vacation, we took the boat through the lake and onto the Colorado River. It's always one of our favorite things to do as it is such a beautiful boat ride, and finding a private beach is extremely relaxing! The boat continues to run well and be a source of family fun! Life with the Poelstras. A glimpse into this crazy thing we call life. Sunday, November 25, 2012. Thanksgiving is over and the Christmas decorations are out! We had a little extra motivation this year to get our tree up early! I always love putting up the Christmas tree as it just adds so much excitement and sparkle to the whole house! The kids were extra excited this year too, and they were great helper in decorating the tree. Shane was pretty excited to rediscover some of the ornaments that he made.

As part of Faith's kindergarten curriculum, we do a science experiment each week. Some are better than others, and some work better than others! Since we have been learning all about plants and seeds and how they grow, a recent experiment was to grow some bean plants. While I was skeptical as to how they would grow in our science lab/kitchen, they actually did really well!

Life with the Poelstras. A glimpse into this crazy thing we call life. Wednesday, December 5, 2012. On Tuesday, November 27 our newest family member, Olivia Constance, arrived! We were thrilled to welcome this healthy, sweet, peaceful baby to our family! It's hard to believe that she is now a week old! At birth she was 8 pounds and 2 ounces. Her size was a bit of a surprise as the midwife who delivered her thought before she was born that she would be maybe 7 pounds! Wednesday, December 05, 2012.
