We need to talk about Tony…. Welcome Back, Tony. I am not entirely sure where Tony goes for the weekend. He’s said that he stays “with a friend”, though for some reason, I always imagined him going to Huelva, a nearby town. We need to talk about Tony…. Well, it has bee. N a while since we’ve updated the Tony files. Mostly because we aren’t exactly sure what’s happening. This picture to the left has inspired a cautious optimism in me, though. These are bags of Tony’s things that have been sitting next to the door for a little over a week. His friend is back in town, hanging out, and helping him sort through things. One thing’s for sure though — I’ve never been so excited by the sound of rustling plastic bags.

Trouble With Toast | “You have to watch it all the time or it burns up.”
Recipe: Chickpeas with Chard and Pan-Roasted Tomatoes. July 7, 2011. This dish may not sound like much, but it is absolutely delicious and incredibly satisfying. And it’s meat-free! 1 cup brown rice. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 4 small plum tomatoes, halved lengthwise. 1 small bunch Swiss chard, thick stems and ribs removed and leaves torn (about 8 cups). 1/3 cup golden raisins. 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced. Kosher salt and black pepper. 1 15-ounce can chickpeas, rinsed. 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice.
