On the lower level Trout River Ranch offers three bedrooms with queen beds (one is a water bed) and a garden room with a trundle that sleeps two in separate twin beds; these bedrooms share a full bath. Upstairs is the master suite with a four-poster king bed and private bath. There is a half bath on the lower level as well. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare meals from an intimate dinner. To a back yard barbeque.

Having located over two hundred Norwegian-American log houses within the northeast Iowa, southeast Minnesota and southwest Wisconsin areas, I’ve only found two houses in which the logs are scribed. Scribing eliminates the spaces between log courses by scooping out the inverse shape of the adjoining logs so as to create a solid log wall. All oak.
