Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Sunny Days and Seashells. Our garden has frequent bee visitors which makes me happy since I know that their population has been declining in past years mostly likely due to pesticide use, specifically neonicotinoids. In our garden, the bee magnets this year were bee balm (of course), lavender, salvia and the sunflowers. While I love seeing bees everywhere, there is something particularly happy about seeing one on a sunflower. They look like they were made for each other.

Thursday, July 23, 2015. We've had lots of rainy, stormy weather lately but this morning was glorious and can be summed up in two words: sunshine and bees. All gardeners know that a weeded garden is only a theory. I am not foolishly expecting to have a perfect garden nor do I want one. Monday, March 4, 2013. Niagara Furniture Bank "Chair Affair" Getting it Clean. When I was picking a chair at the Niagara Furniture Bank Warehouse there were a couple things I was trying to keep in mind:. 1 It has to fit in the trunk. We have a chevy Malibu, so there's not much room. I had to keep it small. 2 Don't go crazy. 3 Think of what someone else would want. So the chair (barely) fit in the trunk.
