Introduction: A Year of Grief. I've decided to write a series of posts. On this past year, living with the loss of my middle son, Caleb. I'm actually not very motivated to do it - but I know God has asked me to do it (you can take that for what its worth). I have tried to avoid it, but it keeps coming back. I hope some good comes out of this. These posts are not in any specific order. These are the thoughts I've had as I've been trying to make sense of all this and my world. In early 2012, I started to follow a structured spiritual practice. I use the the Beatitudes and Lord's Prayer to establish my week, as they run a similar 7-step course.
