As a T R Thompson look-a-like , and well it might be , but it's been pointed out to me by esteemed Wreck Tour author (for DIVER magazine) John Liddiard, that many ships of the era may have looked similar bit not in fact been sister ships. The Wreck of the SS T R Thompson (Steamship). Wednesday, April 09, 2008. Whilst trying to track down more info on the T.R.T, I came across this picture of the Westburn. The Westburn was a British steamship built in 1893 by Short Brothers at Sunderland, England for the James Westoll line. She was 351 feet in length and 3,300 tons with a speed of 7 knots. On request I have asked Chris West about running the annual eastbourne airshow dive as steve from channel divers is unable to do it this year. Chris has offered to make the trip up from shoreham to Eastbourne on Friday 12th august the cost would be £50 pounds to cover the cost of fuel and overnight mooring fees. Buccaneer Dive Dates 2011. Buccaneer dive diary until March anyone fancy dipping a toe. After several years of nagging and (my) heartbreak/sleepless nights we have finally cut an access door into the stern of Buccaneer. Most of the work is finished now apart from some stainless steel hand rails and retention plates, which should go on during this week.
