Jun 21, 2010. Hydrosols can be used topically. Pour a small amount on a cotton pad to apply to the face or affected areas. Place in a spray bottle and spritz on the face or body. Dilute three to five tablespoons of hydrosol in water and soak a piece of cloth or face towel to use as a compress. The following are a few common hydrosols and some of their uses:.
