Lil'one Down Under: February 2009
http://lilonedownunder.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 25, 2009. To all my wonderful Aussie friends who don't yet believe I can walk on water - this is a lake, and I'm standing in the middle of it. :). As nice as walking or biking to work is, there's nothing quite as grand as skiing to work. This is especially true on a bright, sunny, crisp late winter morning. Sunday, February 15, 2009. Lil'One In the Great White North. Sunday, February 8, 2009. Goodnight Perth, for now…. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). What's new with m&m?

the glacier geek and his vaimo: February 2009
http://ojiving.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
The glacier geek and his vaimo. Ordinary life in the far north is not always ordinary. even for a couple of geeks. Moose on the loose. I found this e-mail rather amusing:. SUBJECT: Moose on campus. This is a reminder that moose living near the University of Alaska Fairbanks may pass through campus. Members of the campus community should use common sense if they come in contact with wildlife and be aware that wildlife could be present, especially in the wooded areas of campus. The Belgian Waffles - The picture of the week. March 20, 2011. For a...

the glacier geek and his vaimo: April 2009
http://ojiving.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
The glacier geek and his vaimo. Ordinary life in the far north is not always ordinary. even for a couple of geeks. The reason for the current sleep deprivation. Join me on Friday 5/1 to see this and other paintings at Well st. Art Company. Note to self: do not agree to have a show opening a week before semester ends ever again. A vague promise for out-of-towners: at some point some of the paintings will find their way to my website. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The reason for the current sleep deprivation.

the glacier geek and his vaimo: January 2009
http://ojiving.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
The glacier geek and his vaimo. Ordinary life in the far north is not always ordinary. even for a couple of geeks. Neither of us had been there before, and I'm not sure if we'll be going back anytime soon, but we definitely enjoyed it. After reaching the top we drove to Phoenix, slept through New Year's Eve celebrations, woke up early the next morning, and flew back to Fairbanks. We were greeted with nearly two weeks of -40 C (-40 F). Views of the south rim:. Inari jumping into the abyss:. Arizona, part 3.

the glacier geek and his vaimo: Back(s) to Prindle
http://ojiving.blogspot.com/2009/06/backs-to-prindle.html
The glacier geek and his vaimo. Ordinary life in the far north is not always ordinary. even for a couple of geeks. A few weeks back Inari and I went hiking near Mt. Prindle with a couple of friends. I had previously visited Mt. Prindle in 2007. It was nice to go back, and I was happy that Inari came - I'd been wanting her to see the place since my first visit. Its a beautiful place that feels very arctic, as though it were hundreds of miles north of Fairbanks, but really, its just about an hour by car.
