Have you said Thank You lately? | trustingandchanging
https://trustingandchanging.wordpress.com/2015/01/25/have-you-said-thank-you-lately
Just an ordinary girl with Jesus writing my story. Have you said Thank You lately? Lately I’ve found myself saying some really weird things. Spending the majority of your day with either 1 year old’s or middle schoolers leads to some really weird phrases coming out of your mouth. Here are a few examples: “No, I did not paint my hair.” “Let’s not eat our friends, that’s not very nice.” “Where’s Turkey? 8221; “Everyone say Hi to Pete the Penguin” (Pete is a cardboard box). 8220;Thank You for the trials.
The Dishwasher…. | trustingandchanging
https://trustingandchanging.wordpress.com/2015/08/29/the-dishwasher
Just an ordinary girl with Jesus writing my story. So yesterday, as I was unloading the dishwasher for probably the 15th time this week, I thought, this is so similar to our relationships. Not just relationship with Christ, but relationships with other people, too. We make a mess and often leave it for someone else to clean up. Or, we put a dirty dish in the sink and don’t turn back. How many of us have ever been hurt by someone? BUT…. really? Just hear yourself. Think about it. For it is by grace. How m...
Do you ever just wonder? | trustingandchanging
https://trustingandchanging.wordpress.com/2015/03/10/do-you-ever-just-wonder
Just an ordinary girl with Jesus writing my story. Do you ever just wonder? Story time. It’s 4 hours in to work. Toys are everywhere, breakfast still all over the floor, and the resounding sound of crying. 2 little girls in my class are so upset and unsettled that they have been relentlessly crying all morning. (This happens with 1 year olds. They are tired, teething, sick, the awful time change….). The ground began to shake. The stone was rolled away. His perfect love could not be overcome. This is just...

It’s All Gone?! | trustingandchanging
https://trustingandchanging.wordpress.com/2014/12/28/its-all-gone
Just an ordinary girl with Jesus writing my story. It’s All Gone? Have you ever given a dog a treat? Or fed a young toddler their favorite snack? The reaction is usually the same. When it’s all gone, they’re sad and usually ask for more. It can usually be really cute. Especially if the child is really cute! But don’t we often times experience these moments in life too? Should it leave me feeling sad? No The truth is, my fullness and complete relationship is found in HIM and Him alone! So yes, that best f...

Stargazing with van Gogh. I am still far from being who I want to be, but with the help of God, I shall succeed. Becoming Beautiful: A Beautiful Creation. March 18, 2015. In last week’s post, we talked about trying to live up to the standard of beauty that Christ set with his life rather than trying to live up to the one that the world has created. This week, we’re going to talk about how to be a beautiful creation…. How to Be a Beautiful Creation. Step one: Be exactly who God made you to be. Then, there...

February 3, 2016. February 3, 2016. So it’s been a hot second. But let me say that a lot has happened and it is good. Thank Adonai for that. Seriously. A couple of weekends ago, I found myself driving to Orlando, Florida gearing up for some intensive trainings at a young adult Messianic conference called the ARCH summit. I was nervous, a mixture of being unsure and also thinking I was in no way worthy of being there. Anyways, back to Orlando. I arrived and then the craziest thing happened. Although a lot...

Just an ordinary girl with Jesus writing my story. Have you ever thought about this before: When we go to the doctor, the dentist, or any other appointment, there is a waiting room. But let me just be honest. The chairs in these waiting rooms always stink. They feel like you are sitting on miserable sand paper or cardboard. They are stiff and miserable. Why? Aren’t you supposed to be relaxed and comfortable while waiting? So… Why is it so uncomfortable to wait? Why does it hurt so much? Trust has always ...
