A sweltering Trinity Center plays host to a highly anticipated night of vox-less eclecticism. Opening tonight’s proceedings are Gallops, who are From Wales and are Welsh , apparently. Battles and Gallops at the Trinity Centre. 28/6/2011. Glassjaw @ Mario’s Pizzeria. 11/11 at 1.11pm for $11.11. Glassjaw are an elusive and now unsigned post-hardcore band from New York. Review: Pulled Apart By Horses and The Computers / The Fleece, Bristol – 18/2/12. Review: The Duke Spirit / The Fleece, Bristol – 5/3/2012. Written for Bristol’s Crack Magazine. They end with the Sonic Youth meets Nancy Sinatra of Cuts Across the Land and underline an impressively tight performance. Job done. Three albums down, they make decent viewing and with the album fat trimmed, are far more compelling over an hour in the live setting than they are on record. Well worth a tenner. Photo by Rosie Lea.
