Just another WordPress.com site. Monthly Archives: June 2012. June 26, 2012. Ok, so I know it’s cheesy, but a few weeks back, Warren and I found ourselves with a weekend approaching and no plans so we decided to go….to Europa Land, and had a really good time. June 25, 2012. Kinda funny, but our final weekend in Germany was more like a weekend at home. Awesome bands were playing both Friday and Saturday and we spent much of the weekend hanging out with old frinds. God Save the Queen. June 24, 2012. After ...

Just another WordPress.com site. Barcelona with the Fam. June 11, 2012. I was so happy to have my mom, Kate and Louie come out to Europe for a visit. After picking me up at the Frankfurt airport, we went for a nice extended weekend in Barcelona. Unfortunately, Warren was on tour so he wasn’t able to join us. And because Warren is generally better at remembering to take pictures, I don’t have as many as I would have liked. Kate, in her “flight outfit” at the Frankfurt airport. June 10, 2012. June 9, 2012.

Just another WordPress.com site. Monthly Archives: April 2012. Mykonos and Turkey (Cruise Part I). April 23, 2012. Easter here is a bigger deal than in the states, resulting in two days off from work. We took advantage of the extra days to take a bigger trip than our normal weekend getaways, going for a cruise through the Greek Islands and Turkey! We opted for a smaller, Greek-owned cruise line, with a heavy focus on the destinations. This is our ship, the Louis Cristal. Follow Blog via Email.

Just another WordPress.com site. Monthly Archives: May 2012. Santorini (Cruise Part II). May 1, 2012. No small thing when you’re traveling all the time in a pair! Below is a slideshow from our day in Santorini, and a few remaining pictures from our cruise. This slideshow requires JavaScript. All in all, an amazing trip! Proof positive for our parents that we're still alive in Europe, even if we don't call as much as we should. Follow Blog via Email. God Save the Queen. Dachau (Bavaria Part II).

Just another WordPress.com site. June 25, 2012. Kinda funny, but our final weekend in Germany was more like a weekend at home. Awesome bands were playing both Friday and Saturday and we spent much of the weekend hanging out with old frinds. Warren playing with the Shrines. Me, all tuckered out backstage after the show, with oranges (? The town of Erfurt. I plan on putting up a few more posts from our travels and our return home so stay tuned! King khan and the shrines. Just another WordPress.com site. June 13, 2012. Neuschwanstein Castle (Bavaria Part I). It’s about a 30 minute walk from where the bus drops you off to the castle. Honestly, it was such a beautiful area that I think it would have been worth the trip just to walk around in the Alpine foothills. On our way up to the castle, Warren saw this cute little mouse and, when he stopped to check him out, discovered he had no fear of people. This is Warren feeding him a leaf. This will likely come as a surprise to n...

Just another WordPress.com site. June 14, 2012. Dachau (Bavaria Part II). I split up the weekend in Bavaria into multiple posts because it’s hard to talk about anything else – particularly anything involving fun – in the same space as a visit to the Dachau concentration camp. Since we’ve been living in Germany, I’ve read what some may consider an “unhealthy” amount of books dealing with WWII and the Holocaust. (Have I mentioned that it’s weird being Jewish in Germany? Just another WordPress.com site. June 12, 2012. After living in Frankfurt for over six months, it probably makes sense to actually write about some of the stuff we’ve been doing in Frankfurt. While we do try to travel nearly every weekend, that’s not to say we’re sitting around doing nothing the rest of the time. Schnitzel time at the Dippemess, Frankfurt’s annual earthen cookware festival. A nice little perk of my job here is free admission to the zoo, dinosaur museum and Palmengarten (botanical gardens...

Just another WordPress.com site. June 24, 2012. God Save the Queen. A few weeks back we were chatting with a nun on a train. We mentioned that we would be in London during the Jubilee and she got all excited. “Just think,” she said, “for the rest of your life you’ll be able to look back and know you were there! It was supposed to rain for most of the weekend, but we lucked out and, aside from a few light showers, we had great walking around weather. A few more shots around the Palace. Next post →. Enter ...
