Monday, December 8, 2008. I am a huge grammar/punctuation snob. It also drives me crazy when people use words that don't exist. The following are not words, and should NEVER be used. I have also listed examples of their usage and alternative ways to express one's self:. Nother, adj. (e.g. A whole nother story.). Acrost, prep. (e.g. He jumped acrost the stream.). Drownd/Drownded, v. (e.g. He drownded in the river.). Brotheren, n. (I listened to the brotheren.). You're trying too hard. No extra "th" sound.
