Sunday, April 24, 2011. Caroline's 1st Easter and her 1st Time Meeting My Family. We packed up and headed to see my family in NC for Easter. Caroline had not met my extended family, just my parents, so this was an exciting trip. We stayed at my parents house and traveled to Durham for one day while we were there to visit my family. We dyed Easter eggs at my mom and dad's house. This is the first year we did this I think, because Lyla. She put all her eggs in one basket. Hee. A Dora ballet doll, Lyla.

Friday, April 27, 2012. Teacher Appreciation Week at Preschool. Friday was ancient Greece day. At 10:30 that night, I realized I had to find something to fashion into a toga. Sheet? Too big, crib sheet? Too small, pillowcase? Didn't really want to cut it, my big pink scarf? I survived more costumes. I feel like we've been dressing up a lot lately! Wednesday, July 13, 2011. The Most Fun Birthday Present! Look how big they got! We did have to feed them. We fed them cut up oranges and sugar water sprinkled on paper towels. And then one by one, they hung from the top and spun their cocoons. Once they were in their cocoons, we had to take the paper disk out of the lid, and pin it to the side of the butterfly net that also came with the kit. They quickly flew out as little butterflies. Sunday, June 26, 2011. We love our church and they have a wonderful children's program. They truly love our kids and take wonderful care of them. Here is Lyla with one of her favorite teachers, Kelsey. They put shaving cream all over the table and let them "finger paint" in it. This is one of Lyla's favorite activities at church. Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Lyla's 1st Day of Preschool as a 3 year-old. Before leaving the house. She was excited, not nervous at all! Posing outside of preschool. I love this picture. Saturday, June 2, 2012. Lyla's friend Isabella loves Jesse from Toy Story. She even dressed up as Jesse last Halloween. She had the most fun birthday at a local dance complete with pony feeding, pony rides, playground fun and a bounce house. Lyla had a blast! Caroline had fun too, but wasn't really excited about the ponies yet. Lyla smiled so big while riding the pony. Lyla gets red just like I do when she's hot. Here are the kids waiting for their food. And so did Lyla. She calls them bake pops.

Saturday, June 16, 2012. It just so happened that our last weekend before deployment was also Father's Day. We were all happy that Tommy was here for that special day so he and the girls could spend it together. Saturday morning we decided to brave the winds and spend some time at the beach. Saturday, March 31, 2012. Egg Hunt and FUN Run! Caroline hunting for eggs. We went to two egg hunts this year and Caroline just picks up one and then walks around with it. Thursday, May 17, 2012. Somewhere Over The Rainbow. Lyla's Spring Program was today and it was titled "The Rainbow and God's Promise." It was so cute. I loved watching Lyla sing and stand their with her friends. She quickly spotted me in the crowd and sometimes between songs she would say "Mommy! That morning as we were eating breakfast, Lyla performed one of the songs for me. I loved my private performance! My God is So Big. His Banner Over Me is Love. Jesus, You Sure Know How to Color. You Are So Good.
