Tim and Sandra’s Blog. Updates on our journey with Gloria. Tonsils, Adenoids and Ear Tubes. We’re visiting McMaster for a set of small surgeries. Tonsils and adenoids are coming out and ear tubes going in. At this point, Gloria has her new stripey gown on and is busy making friends with all the other little gowned children. Besides reading by Gloria’s bedside (or drawing flowers in Sandra’s case) and helping out with care whenever we can, we’ve been able to take nice long walks around Toronto downtown and enjoy the beautiful summer weather. So, we’ll move back into ‘normal’ life for a while before the next set of disruptions begin. We’ve loved these last seven months (even with the periodic days and weeks of worry). Tim and Sandra’s Blog. Updates on our journey with Gloria. Gloria came off of Morphine this morning and had a long stretch of being awake (and thus mad because she couldn’t walk around). Her Oxygen Saturation is still low so we’ll probably be here for at least another day. We’ll monitor and see how things go – we pretty confident, based on our experience at sickkids, that no morphine will mean no issue with Oxygen intake. Here’s hoping….
