We only live once. Thursday, April 26, 2012. Gunung Ledang, Johor. 11Apr2012. Lots of ropes and ladders up the numerous steep slopes. The dreaded rock face, need reasonably strong arms to hold on the ropes and stepped up the granite. Those with fear of height often freeze and stop half way, giving headache to mountain guides who patiently encourage them to soldier on. Bonsai garden at about 1100 meter. The final climb, 5 minutes to the top. The first ascent for my wife, the third for me. In my late 40s.

We only live once. Friday, September 09, 2011. Gunung Irau, 3 Sep 2011. With camping equipment): 4 hours to Mini Irau, another hour to Gunung Irau. Night temperature at summit. Mini Irau): 15 C. Amount of drinking water used. Moderate to tough, lots of climbing over tree roots, which will become slippery during rain (once I slipped and fell on the back during descent). Not for first-timer. The famous mossy forest. Only a short stretch of the trail- about half an hour- are like this. Links to this post.
