Von Ärzten für Ärzte. 1924 beschrieb der Arzt Moschcowitz erstmals eine junge Frau mit Fieber, hämolytischer Anämie, Thrombozytopenie, Nierenversagen und neurologischen Symptomen. So entstand der Name Morbus Moschcowitz. Dieser Krankheit wurde 1947 durch K. Singer, F. P. Bornstein und A. Wiles der Begriff TTP (Thrombotisch thrombozytopenische Purpura) gegeben. TTP (Thrombotisch-thrombozytopenische Purpura), auch Moschcowitz-Syndrom genannt, wurde erstmals 1924 beschrieben. Es handelt sich um eine seltene, lebensbedrohliche Autoimmun-Erkrankung mit Thrombenbildung (Blutgerinnseln), insbesondere in Gehirn und Nieren. Neurol. Symptome (z.B. Schlaganfälle, ca. 65%).
