Friday, 8 November 2013. This Term, room 2 have been learning about measuring and estimating. Today they put their learning to the test and designed and created a fantastic Pirate ship. Friday, 27 September 2013. Avebury House Celebrations (past and present). Today, on the last day of term, the children of Richmond School got to share and celebrate with the people of Avebury House, before their official re-opening tomorrow (Saturday). Just like Richmond School, Avebury House is an important part of our community. It was built by a man who was instrumental in the opening of Richmond School over 100 years ago. Monday, 9 December 2013. This term, Richmond School has been involved with the Flick It on movie making challenge. The seniors in room 3 made their own silent movie and then swapped it with another silient movie made my students at a school in the USA. We had a go at adding the voice and foley (sound effects) to this movie. IT took a lot of working together but it was easy when we turned our classroom into a recording studio! We reflected on each term's achievements, preformed our favourite Ukelele tunes and celebrated each student with a certificate and a pounamu necklace as a piece of taonga to remember their time at Richmond School.
